Went out on a beautiful morning with around 20 people. First drops saw a quick a shot of 6 cod and a few ling. Next drop, I hit the ling pretty good and some others picked ling. Drop after that had two decent keeper cod. The last two drops had some ling. High hooks and fancy rigs got plenty of dogs. Plain rigs close to the bottom got ling. I would up with 15 ling. Guy next to me had a 5lb cod and 5 ling. Guy on the other side of me had a 4lb cod and 2 ling. Biggest cod was around 9lbs but he didn't get in the pool. Pool winner was around 7lbs. Overall I think there were a dozen cod and around 35 ling.
If people fished properly for the ling, I think we would have picked 50 to 60 ling. I saw lots of missed bites and partial bait loss. Most were fishing giant globs of clams on large hooks.
