Yesterday, I had the chance to enjoy a nice "vacation" trip for Cod and Ling on the Norma K. At 7:30, Capt. Matt left with a decent size crowd for winter's standard, and we enjoyed a beautiful morning ride to the Mud in a calm ocean with only a minor SE swell. We set up on four different spots with all producing some life, whether it be Ling or Cod. The guy fishing next to me caught the beauty pool fish, which was just over twenty pounds. All other keepers were 25" down to just legal. The good smattering of Ling added a another tasty bonus to our action.
I had 1 keeper Cod and two Ling. One of the Ling-a-Dings was 20", which was nice! The action with the Cod and Ling, plus Matt had the Sirius XM Satellite Radio blasting out Pink Floyd, the Beatles, and the Doors all day, and lastly the view of most of the Jersey Shore and New York City from the Mud Hole just made it a perfect day.
A great 7 hour "vacation"! I will put more pictures up in a few hours.
