Who is gonna flounder fish next weekend?

Well, unless I read that thread wrong, anyone gonna try the rivers and back bays for flounder. The water temp looks good!

Not positive but while it appears to be a done deal you may still have to wait until the State Marine Fisheries Committee to meet on March 6., for it to be official.

So if I am reading that correctly we need to wait until March 6th so see if the winter flounder season opens on March 1st? You got to love NJ.

Way too cold. Was still skim ice on the backs of the rivers at 5:30pm today. Then temps in the 30s all week.

Low end of outgoing tide with a nice warm day might get you a few bites but the water is still way too cold. Flounder even in Shark River I would have to think will be at least a few weeks later this year with the cold winter.

Where does it say it opens march first? Just looked on njfishandwildlife and it says march 23 just like recent years. :confused:
