Just got a batch of bucktails in the mail from Sam. Aint worth pouring myself with his prices. A little project to cure the cabin fever blues. Powdercoat and some tail tying to keep me busy.

Just my 2 cents. I have never ordered anything from Sam the Sinker Man BUT from every post I've ever read on this site, his service is second to none and he's a great guy who goes out of his way to deliver his product and make his customers happy. The guy sounds like a prince! Sometimes it not always about price even though I'm sure his prices are competitive if not the lowest. BUT, in this &^%$#( up economy, I'm sure like everyone else he's trying to make a living and it sounds like he is at the top of the spectrum in customer service, something many businesses have forgotten what it means. My point is he's a sponsor, his reputation is phenomenal and like all of us I'm sure he can use our support. I assume you didn't mean this with your post but it comes across a bit as if you're calling him out to be low cost producer. If so, sponsors don't need that here, they need our help to make ends meet and in this particular case we're talking about someone who apparently goes way beyond the call of duty to service the members of the NJ Fishing community. My point is sometimes price isn't always the most important criteria especially in a service business and try being a bit more sensitive to the sponsors when it comes to questions like you asked because it almost sounded like you were calling Sam out. Not suggesting you were, not coming at you just thought maybe it could be construed that way to a guy who is a true benefit to this board. Maybe something along the lines of "Sam could you please PM me your prices when you have a chance, I'd appreciate it" as opposed to throwing out your prices may have been more appropriate. Sinkers and buck tails are not my business but like everything else I'm sure the quality of the lead, especially with buck tails, is probably as important as what the price is. The way you asked your question doesn't allow for that variable. My only point is please use discretion when discussing prices or services with sponsors relative to their competition. They are here to make a living, but more so they're here to benefit us and deserve our support.

Fluke fishing is just around the corner and I'd like to place an order for bucktails similar to the ones that started this thread by Makosnax. I couldn't agree more. I called him last week to order 50 8oz jig heads and he had them ready in two days! Plus he delivers them right to my job! And the prices are as low as you could ever want for such a quality product.

I've been buying sinkers and jigs from Sam for the past couple years. He delivered my first purchase personally to my house, probably 35-40 miles down the GSP. Most other orders are in my mailbox within a week of ordering without asking for any special handling, and his check is back in the mail the same day. Cannot beat Sam's service, quality and integrity.

Like the subject line said "Sam the sinkerman rocks!". Been ordering flats from Sam for a couple of years now. His prices are great and service is impeccable. He has dropped sinkers off by my friends house for me, delivered them, or had other people, such as JoeyA78, bring them to me on a trip that we were on together. Great guy!!

Sam is great, last year I tried painting the jig heads with high quality pink and white spray paint followed by rust oleam rubber flex seal. I caught countless big fluke on them, for those who know me check out my fb for photos and you will see they produced. Kudos to the man!
