Hey Guys,
I am looking to get back into the surf game for bass blues and fluke. It has been some time and I am looking to pick up some lures to fill the bag. I feel like I have a decent selection or lures for the fall sand eel bass bite with a variety of metals, soft plastics like RonZ's, and swimming plugs like bombers, but I am also open to other suggestions. For fluke I also have a variety of Bucktails, but are there other things I should throw? For the spring and summer bass I really don't have much. If you have any recommendations for lures and what situations to use them in it would be greatly appreciated. I plan on fishing mostly open beaches but I may grab a pair of korkers and start fishing jettys and inlets as well.
Thanks for any and all help,
Mike.

For years and years a black needlefish plug was THE lure for bass at night when sand eels are around.. I see no reason why they would not work very well these days.. they were considered one of the top bass lures, but blues and weaks hit them too.. they simply have a totally different silhouette in the water, and i would keep one or two on hand, especially if you plan on any night time bass fishing... bob

Get your but to the Asbury show next month. All the best surf stuff from some of the best lure makers in the biz. I like pencils from Pro Staff and Fish On lures and metal lip Danny type lures from Nick Luna. These are guys that I fish with and have learned a lot from over the years. Lures are like custom rods you get what you pay for.
Definitely get korkers. I was catching nice fish well into July last year off the tips.

I use 3oz deadly dick in the surf. It works for stripers, blues and run along bottom(fluke). Easy to get out far in the wind too....See 'ya on the beach real soon, Robbie

Hand carved by Gary Hull. Gary has passed on and I will treasure the wood plugs he gave me. Simply the best I have I ever seen!!!
