We are staying on the East coast and enjoying some top notch Intracoastal fishing. The Black Drum are abundant here and fight hard on lite tackle. The limit is 5 and that is no problem as we are playing catch and release in one hour. They average 5-10lbs and are hitting a small jig head tipped with shrimp. These school size drum are great eating.Redfish are in the same area can be quite large.Spotted SEA Trout are also on the menu.Yesterday we launched my buddies 16 footer''for free'' bought two bags of frozen shrimp for 8 bucks and burned 1 gallon of fuel!We caught over 20 black drum in two hours and had a blast in 5 feet of water and it was dead flat calm. Now that is in my price range lol Pictures soon. Next trip Jupiter for Yellowtail and Mangroves and maybe some King Mackeral.:)

I lived in Melbourne Beach for 6 years. The fishing was great . Sometimes the Big Jacks come up the river too. The Snook were my favorite fishing ever though .
I bet you are really missing this cold :D
Enjoy ...Those Mangrove Snappers are tasty.
