Most of you know Ralphie from fishing on Fish Monger or Norma K or just about everywhere around point or Brielle. He had his boat in Keyport for over 40 years. I knew him for almost 30 years and he worked for me for 15 years. He was a true hard fishing old time fisherman. He was a great friend and person. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. I know I will miss him terribly. As soon as I know something, I will post it. Please send your prayers to his family.

Fishing was a big part of Big Ralphs life..If he wasn't on a boat fishing, he was waiting for them at the dock..I fished with him many times on his boat out of Keyport. Those that knew him knew that he had many health issues, but it never stopped him from going out or calling me bitching about the weather or the doctors or meds that we were taking. Big Ralph passed this afternoon at the age of 66. Way to young for such a great guy..RIP Ralph.

Fished with Ralphie many, many times as he filled in on charters and open boats on Fish Monger.

To say Ralphie was a character is an understatement. Like others have previously said, Ralphie was a very kind and thoughtful person always offering to pick up oil for my boat or something from his garden.

Looking forward to fishing with you again Ralphie in the next go around. I can still hear you singing "I don't care" to Jerry's satellite radio. Will miss you buddy...

Very Sorry to hear this,,,,he was always a great time on the boat. He generously offered his tasty food on many trips, and knew every song on the radio! Learned a lot from him...Will miss seeing him around the Monger dock and fishing with him.

I met Raphie on quite a few of the Monger trips. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing he was a very funny person. We used to love hearing his stories about cablvision not showing up & his red ant story. Rip Ralphie you will be missed by everybody who knew you.

Marc, our trips with him, Sam, junior, little Michael, you, and we always had a constant laugh him always yelling around the boat from morning until we cleaned the fish. Miss him like crazy, still not used to no everyday phone calls. See you soon marc

Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and everyone that knew him. I knew and met him on a couple of different trips , especially the Monger boyz.

Always had me laughing and just a very funny kind hearted guy who always expressed his opinion - BTW he could fish too

My condolences

Joey, it is really strange not hearing him calling up telling me how fishing was or how the party boats are doing. Still hasn't sunk in. Once the spring starts going and getting ready, it will really hit me. Hope all is well on your end.

See you soon,

Marc
