Anglers interested in striped bass should plan to attend the Striped Bass Forum at the Atlantic City Boat Show on Saturday, February 8 at 4 p.m. A special presentation by NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife biologist Russ Allen will kick off this public discussion about New Jersey's number one gamefish - the striped bass - and what management actions may be on the horizon. (See http://www.acboatshow.com/attendees/features/seminars.aspx#id238 for other seminar participants and full seminar schedule.)
Russ will present an overview of the latest Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission's (ASMFC) striped bass assessment results, current coastwide stock status, New Jersey's survey results and potential ASMFC management actions. The forum will offer attendees a unique first glimpse at what fisheries managers discussed at the ASMFC Striped Bass Board meeting earlier in the week in Virginia.

I dunno, you guys seem to be making fun of RussA for his comments on capt Sal's striper thread .. His viewpoints are valid even if his info and methodology are off.
There IS too many people taking too many big bass, and its not sustainable long term... The striper fishery will suffer if anglers keep killing and eating every large spawner they are legally allowed.
I saw his posts more as a call to show some self restraint.

My comment was not in any way meant to make fun of Russ. It was a simple question.

That`s a great and a very fair question. With our Russa being as active as he is on the site I am sure he will see this post. Are you Russ Allen from the NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife?
