Hey gang, Capt. Scott here. Capt. Glenn called and said only two boats lit up to try to go fishing today. The Prowler5 and the Horse. He said the Horse sent their three to him today. He said they had dense fog all day with no wind. They fished 17 and he said it wasn't a good fishing day by any means. Had about 20 keepers, high hook was three on the keeper togs. Some guys with one and two, some with none. They had short action on the tog today and also got a keeper cod fish. All in all a slow day, though, it is Jan. 15th. Today's pool winner was Jim Starek of Matawan. I'll post photos later tonight. We will be lighting up to go fishing tomorrow morning (Thurs.) P.S. Me and my boy, James Kennedy will see you in the morning. Heated handrails and crabs supplied. Thx., Capt. Scott

20? Hmmmmm. Stayed put for all 6 hrs on the same sand. Never made more of a move than slacking up on the port or tightening the starboard. Frustrating day trying to find a rock or anything worth fishing. There was only 9 keepers and a short cod. Hey gang NO WONDER EVERYONE RUNS SOUTH

Hmmmmmmm - Actually there were 21 keeper tog racks counted by Brian today and one keeper cod fish, as I stated earlier. Capt. Glenn told me exactly who you were. Nine, we had 9 in the first hour. All I can say is don't get pissed off because your own party boat didn't light up because of the thick fog and the Prowler5 was your only choice. Do us a favor and next time head down south. Here are some photos from today's catch. P.S. You can deal with Gerry Togwild around 9:00 p.m. tonight. Thx., Capt. Scott

Capt. Should worry more about identifying tankers. Nice pics.

I know they are. Don't worry about the tankers, you don't know what you are talking about. We talk to them on 13 and 16. Do me a favor, why don't you call your favorite party boat and ask why they didn't go out today in the thick fog. Capt. Glenn and me have been running the Prowler5 in the fog for 30 years, do don't even go there. That's the problem with this business. It's hard enough and then you have to deal with people like you. Also, read some of the reports from some of the party boats down south - same reports.

I've been in this business a hell of a lot longer than you think and I certainly don't feel you deserve my respect. Like I said, stop your crying because your favorite party boat didn't light up because of the dense fog. Next time, when we're the only choice go to the Ocean Explorer. I know Bobby Quinn all my life and when he reads this - he'll probably not even let you on his boat. Thx., Capt. Scott

Do me a favor and move the boat around!!! That's the problem with your business, u round the tip of the hook, single anchor, slide around for a couple hrs and call it a day. There is a lot of "captains" out there that at least make a couple moves and try to put u on fish. Sorry if the truth hurts but a long day in the sand isn't better than a good days work!

I clearly made my point to you on my earlier post. So, enough is enough with you. Please don't come back. Even if we're the last boat in the State to go out. Go to Delaware. Thx., Capt. Scott

As someone already pointed out, this isn't the way to have this conversation. The Prowler has been around a very long time and has a great reputation. Belmar has good black fish captains but so do a lot of other ports. Disparaging someone's business just because you had a slow trip is a classless act. Not every trip hits it out of the park and even so a little respect goes a long way and I'm sure would be greatly appreciated. If you have an issue with how someone runs their operation, talk to the captain and work it out or patronize another boat but turning it into a public slug fest is more a reflection on you than the operation your criticizing.
Captain the two malcontents have 6 and 35 posts. Part of the newbies who feel a screen name and password entitles them to anonymity and the ability to call anyone out on a public web site. Considering where it's coming from, I wouldn't be concerned or give either party the satisfaction of another response. For the people who know you or of you, your reputation speaks for itself.

I agree, if you had a problem with your trip. On your way in, stepping off the boat. Should of confronted the Captain or mates. Not bash them here. Just saying......;)
