Sometimes you make the right call and today was one for the home team. I had figured after Saturdays Southerly blow it would be tough fishing on Sunday and that the West wind would make for a good day today, The tog were chewing for us today before the south wind came up. Charles Hand from Piscataway had his limit in short order, The fish were biting for most with only a few having a tough time getting it together, but by the end of the day everyone had at least a fish. They bit greens and whites but you did best with a 1/2 crab with legs on. JD an Atlantic Star regular took the pool with a 7 pound tog and had his limit. When the South wind came up the fishing slowed but we still picked.
We had some fresh skimmers on board and I tried for some ling but only caught one but I did have a nice tog on a clam. The ling fishing has been a disappointment so far this winter. There were a few on crabs today.
With the rain tomorrow we will not try to sail but we will give it a shot on Wednesday and again Friday before the weekend.
No pictures today as I had no camera. I wish I had a camera as I saw the most unbelievable blrd today. January 13th and a Pelican flying around the boat at the Point of Sandy Hook.
Thanks Captain George See Ya Wednesday
