Hopped on the JStar with Ryan W to take advantage of the weather window. Our own RealNauti was subbing as a mate which means he has around 387 pictures. Fishing was a steady pick on sea bass, very few porgies and a few ling. Ryan and I both had a limit plus some smaller keepers ORL. My 20 were between 2 - 4 1/2lbs. I had 3 ling to go with that and Ryan had 3 porgies. A beginning couple next to us had around 30 sea bass between them but had a hell of a fun time doing it. Both pools were 6lb class sea bass.
I think anyone who fished hard and efficiently had a sea bass limit. We had a few relative novices that didn't get their limits. Biggest problem they had was fear of swinging a 3-4lb sea bass. They would call for the net, all three of their hooks would get tangled and it would be 5 minutes before they got back in the water. If you want to fill your cooler be efficient, swing them in, get them off the hook and in the cooler ASAP and get back down there quickly. I don't think Ryan and I were on the best real estate or had the best bites but our catches were near the top because we fished efficiently.
