There were not a lot of people around but we did manage 15 good fishermen at the rail. All had fish but some were cursed with shorts. I know of one guy with 11 shorts before his first couple of keepers and he was right in the middle of guys catching nice fish. You had to wait on the bites for the bigger fish. It paid to sail at 7:00 AM today as we had close to 20 keepers in the first hour with very good short life. The stern and bow were best with green crabs doing best. There were fish in the 3 areas we fished today. We had a lot of guys with 5 keepers after the second drop so went north and fished late today so some could get their limit. It was after 3 when we docked. Archie was the first to limit today and Carl Nabies caught his first tog limit.
Jim Renzo (BLACKFIN CHARTERS) took todays pool with one of our first fish. Andy and Evelyn from the PIONEER were out today. They had 3 or 4 keepers each and Andy lost a mystery fish on our last drop that was huge.
We will be sailing at 7:00 AM Friday and Saturday. No galley tomorrow.
I hope to be able to report some ling tomorrow as we normally catch then with the tog by now and we do have clams on board. I had expected some today on our last drop but it was all tog.
If you look at windguru they are calling for gale winds on Sunday NOAA dose not and we will see what happens. I would try to go in the next 2 days.
Thanks Captain George
