What are those birds?

Last time I was out for stripers (maybe 3 weeks ago, all shorts, or course), there were thousands of small gulls or terns feeding over the fish. We don't see them in the warm months. What were they, Bonaparte's gulls, or... ? Thanks.

Bonaparte's gulls, named after Napoleans brother. They're only around that time of year.
