We renamed our jigging and popping rod series called Ghost hunter.. We call NJ Tuna as ghost because they are so hard to catch.. I asked my Designer to put a horse on the tag because Next year Chinese Zodiac sign is horse..

What do you guys think?

Here goes. I hope this is helpful.

It is a little spooky but looks pretty bad-ass.

One thing you should do if possible is change the second line on tag to:

"High tensile strength designed for big fish and heavy lures"

Also, "Durable" is the only word not in the beginning of a line that is capitalized. You should change so all lines have the same style.

You said you called it the "Ghost Hunter" which is pretty cool but I don't see that name on the tag.

It is eye-catching for sure.
However, I personally don't find it fitting for a fishing tackle. Also, seems like your designer randomly grabbed the ghost rider image off the web.

Young, With all due respect a picture of a cowboy on a horse does not relate to anything fishing. The average American fisherman does not follow the Chinese calendar. I would think you want your label to stay the same so you build brand recognition. You mention ghost but there is no mention of ghost on the label.

With all due respect, it was oddly translated... This is very common on many products made in Asian countries.. Just kind of "funny looking "to the average USA buyer...

Light and durable,, thats fine...

DROP the" Designed for big fish and heavy lure"..

"Lightening whip action".. yikes.. thats not what the modern fisherman wants.. He wants high sensitivity, and good hook set properties...

Superb casting accuracy.. Drop the "on"

It might be a great rod, but it is NOT the
"best choice for all anglers".. It is a great choice for what it was designed for.. In other words, if you are selling a "jjigging" rod , you might say... "
"The best choice for inshore jigging and bottom fishing"..
Something to that effect...
Again, I am NOT being a smart ass, just trying to be helpful.. First thing that caught my eye was the odd imagery, and the obvious translation done by someone that doesn't understand modern colloquial English all that well... bob

Just stating the facts buddy..It is not a fishing report in case you can't read.
Everytime one of you responds to this thread it knocks a REAL report down. There aren't many, but they are reports.
My business is my business and you can find it where it belongs, in the classified section, look hard because it's on the second page.

Word of advice: get rid of that ugly Ghost Rider image.

I think it looks cheesy, and I'm sure it's copyrighted (don't want to get sued by this http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120608184942/nonciclopedia/images/thumb/4/44/Nicolas_Cage_Vampire's_kiss_-_You_don't_say.jpg/320px-Nicolas_Cage_Vampire's_kiss_-_You_don't_say.jpg guy...lol)

I'm thinking a ghostly image of a skeleton fishing with the skull/skeleton of something fearsome (like a goliath tigerfish) on the other end of the hook would look awesome.

Just a couple more cents of advice:

Change it to "The Ghost Hunter"
Replace "fishing the legend" with "What legends are made of"

*Light and durable
*Unsurpassed parabolic action
*The backbone needed for today's heavy lures
*Superb casting accuracy
*The finest choice for picking up that trophy fish

I like the graphic on the back of the tag though.

If you don't want to make it heavy "lures", you can put the article "a" in front of heavy lure.
Before it goes final make sure an American English speaker proofreads it or put it on here again.

Hope you find this helpful... The art is cool, no doubt but eye catching does not always translate to sales. The rider reference does not fit the market and the reason for the use of the horse is obscure at best. I could never tell you what year the Chinese Caldendar is in.

If it's a tuna rod and you want it to be eye catching use the skeleton of a tuna and add flames to that.

I got more if your interested, just PM me.

When marketing your business your are trying to create your brand. Your logo, name, business cards and marketing material should convey the message of who you are and what product or service you provide. In a competitive market you need to find a way to differentiate your self from the competition. Images you listed might be cool looking but do not speak to your product line you are looking to market. I will be at the Xmas Party so feel free to pick my brain as I have created multiple business plans and marketing material for several businesses over the years.

I can read very well thank you! Unfortunately what you have is a guy who is looking for some input from the fishing community. He was not looking to sell any one anything. What I don`t understand is when the owner of the site does not feel the need to comment about the post, but you do. If your that interested in policing the site maybe being a police officer is more to your liking than making sinkers and pointing out that your add is on page 2.
