Decided to go the opposite direction on the parkway this morning and and fish with capt paul thomson in cape may as i havnt been to pleased with the fishing up here. We left the dock at 8 with only 15 fares for such a nice day. We fished the reef all day and the fishing was very good. I ended the day with 13 keepers. up to 7 pounds and a bunch of shorts. ( i only kept my limit and gave the rest to people that didnt catch) there was definitly a lack of talent aboard today as most were using spinning reels and seabass rigs .... needless to say most struggled. If you were a half way decent blackfisherman, you would have caught ur limit easy. They did prefer the whites over greens today by far. Capt paul did an awsome job putting the boat on structure all day, and one the nicest guys you will ever meet.
Ps there is a ns bait and tackle shop is sea isle city tbat i got my whites from, full bushel is 50 bucks, half is 30. Pm me if ya want the info

Good job with the Tog. Capt. Paul is one of the best. Too a certain extent there is far less interest in the Black fishing in Cape May. Way less pressure on both the fish and fisherman vs. the northern ports.
