Headed out of NH this weekend for our annual 6 pack Pollock trip to fill our freezers for the winter. Boy did we slay em, Double and Triple Headers up to 23 pounds. headed back to the barn at 1. These suckers don't just hang like dead weight they rip drag and give a nice fight. The NH pollock run is on!

We did the trip on Eastman's on Friday. Close to 100 Pollack between 3 of us. Mostly 8-12 pounders, many in the high teens with a few over 20.

I heard Friday was a little rough you must have been on the big boat because we were originally scheduled for Friday and got blown out. Saturday was absolutely gorgeous and we ended up with about the same ratio of fish per pan as you (30 pp).

Yes, we were on the LMAIII. Weather reports were a little iffy for me, the last one before we left was 15-20, no gusts. We could've had the pulpit, but I didn't want it with the expected wind and cold temp. The rides in and out were perfect. The boat rocked a little at times on anchor, but standing on the blood and guts was tougher. I'd call the wind a steady breeze, noticeable mostly because of the air temp. It was 23° when we boarded at 5:00, I don't think it went above 30° all day, but it didn't feel so bad in the afternoon. Was tough to keep the hands warm.
I think their 6 packs are done now, you were probably on the last one.

Yea I think the last trips for the 6 packs is Wednesday (tomorrow) then the pull the boats. I heard the big boats will run all year through the winter as long as the fish and weather cooperate.

Yes, reservations only. I think they're closed Dec 22-Jan 14. I'll be watching for haddock in March.
I just found out my friends want to go back the 21st. I really shouldn't go, but...

Haddock size limit jumped to 24 inches up there. Its going to be very tough putting a catch together with the increase in legal size since the haddock run quite small.
Let me know what you end up doing and Good Luck!

It was 21" all summer, when did it go up to 24? Not worth going at 24".

PM Sent. I never fished out of Maine before. I guess just never saw the need to drive the extra distance, but what a beautiful state!
