We had the John Herman charter on board today. With the northeast wind gusting to 20 knots it was a rough wet ride up to between the channels. Once there we found plenty of bird activity along with plenty of Bass. However, almost all the Bass were short. John's crew jigged Ava's and soft baits for over 2 hours. The landed over 40 shorts but only 1 keeper. At slack water the bite died and we moved south to troll the Rocks and Spring Lake areas with little success. It was one of our slowest days in a long time and we appreciate John's crew giving it a maximum effort. :( :(
