Was a few skirmishes recently need some luck to be at the right place when or if they wander in. Unknown what this storm and the cool front on the other side will do to the body fish that was in but its not looking good the shallows are really cold.

One day its the AM, nest the PM, its a mixed bag right now. In addition to sandeels...... there is a ton of shad in the wash now too. So thick.... they are hitting teasers and even smaller lures too!
Biggest fish to hit our place this week was a 23# bass. Its not "ON FIRE" but you stand a good chance of getting some dinner. Your allowed a limit of shad. Why not toss a live one back out?? Thats what the 23# bass took. But.... nobody seems to be doing it. They are only complaining about how many shad are taking their teasers. :D

I thought hickory shad could not be posessed?
Let me know if I'm wrong but I thought I read that somewhere.

I only saw 1 striper caught in Manasquan Inlet this year. I've been catching hickory shad and sundials on metals and teasers. The limit on salt water hickory shad is 6 a day. The Marine Police caught 2 guys in Point Pleasant with 22 shad and ticketed them. A Marine Policeman was at Manasquan recently. I caught, tagged and released a 16" fluke in the inlet last week.http://s865.photobucket.com/user/NJ219bands/media/downsized_Image11222013160339_zpsd7dae328.jpg.html ?sort=3&o=2

I didn't get a hit in Manasquan Inlet yesterday evening with an AVA and teaser and didn't see anybody catch anything. The ocean was dirty from the sand pumping project.
Fish were caught in sea bright yesterday.
