Striper fishing was better today than yesterday. We saw plenty of bass early in the day. We saw them on the surface and on the scope. We made a number of drifts and caught 1 to 5 keepers on some drifts and none on others. In the middle of the day the bite stopped for awhile. We worked a little SE, then south, then west, seeing bass wherever we went, but, they were hard to catch.
It was getting late and the fog had set in but, we saw a couple of bird plays on the radar to the north. When we arrived we had a few good drifts where we caught 10 to 12 keepers each drift, several shorts, and some big blues. Most of the bass were caught on gold crocs, but a good percentage were also caught on jigs.
The pool winner was:
Yuri Kasharyn from Phila Pa with a 23LB Striped Bass.
The Striped Bass are biting and we are scheduled to sail every day.
Our early trips will now sail at 6:30AM every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 7:30AM every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday.
