Got a late start yesterday... Birds were down and bait readings were scattered by the time we got set up in the area. Joe managed one fish on a eel and me and George got the skunk jigging.

Was nice to see 2 local legends Gene Graman and Al Ristori out there off on their own.... Watched them land too many Stripers to count and had to go and at least do a drift or two in the area they were fishing. Of coarse all we managed were a few doggies and these guys continued to bail the fish on every drift.

If either are reading this, sorry if we got a little too close. Just trying to see if we could pick up some scraps in the large Striper expert shadows you cast.

I know I'm fishing in the right place when I see that beautiful classic boat with the blue top.........;)

Right you are.... That boat is SHAWEEEEET! Sits so nice in the water.

Had the pleasure of meeting Gene where he winters the boat. A labor of love for him. Each spring every piece of metal comes off the boat and he paints the entire hull.

Not sure but was told by someone his is the last boat that Oldsens in Keyport built.

Some nice old Zuback's boats still running around too...

And I understand he's won more than his fair share of fishing trophies along the way.
