I had high hopes on the way out after seeing Capt. Ron's catch of fish as the boat pulled in yesterday, but that soon diminished after the first hour when we lost our drifting conditions. We had 1 hours of fishing and the rest of the nite no drift-no fish, when the tide started going out the wind freshened and we stood still no drift - no fish. In the short time they were biting one of my regulars Harry from the Highway managed 4 nice fish and dropped a few and some guys with 1 and most with none and we probably dropped 8 or 10. With no current to move us along the spiny dogs have been grabbing the eels without taking the hook and holding on and you have to lift them out of the water and shake em on the deck to let go, they are worse than piranhas. Anyway the weather looks good for tonite and we will be sailing at 6;30 and for info call 908-930-2335.
