Left Manasquan inlet around 8am in unfavorable conditions. I was fortunate enough to have a regular crew on board for our open boat trip. We tried like hell to jig and plug the fish but it did not work only catching one fish on the jig... pulled out the the good old trolling gear. As some say "TROLLING IS CHEATING".... LoL .... Put out an assortment of lures First to go down was a good old Tony Maja #4 White with a nice #25 bass..... but the Sportfish Products 6arm 13 sand eel umbrellas rig hooked up every 5 minuets we pulled everything else in and put out 3 sand eel umbrellas rigs and bam bam bam bam !!!!! lights out east, west, north, south 2 knot -3.5 knots all caught fish ... Double, Triple, Quadruple headers. The boys were having so much fun as i read fish i yelled down to them where to put the rigs depth wise and every time we would hook up boat limit in no time and we culled the fish trying to keep 28-32" fish ... throwing back the larger ones ..
Boys wanted to do some blackfish hit a spot and we were greeted with shorts and one keeper decided to head in before dark ......
