With the tough Striper fishing we’ve been experiencing over the last few weeks, I gave the guys the option of trying our luck with the bass or going wreck fishing. A quick huddle ensued and the call from the cockpit was “take us to the wrecks”. Our first drop was a dog pound but we did manage a couple nice seabass despite the double and triple dogfish hookups. Our second drop was much better with double keepers coming over the gunnel along with a couple tog and porgies. With the wind dying our third drop was a bit of a challenge to get set up on, the fact that the wreck was the size of a postage stamp didn’t help matters either but when we finally came tight it was game on! Finished the day just three short of the five man limit. I am open next Saturday for striper or wreck fishing, call or email me if you’re interested.
