all the other sites geared to surf fishing only seem really quiet so my guess is that the fishing is slow but you never know ;)

Hit Sandy Hook, Area B, then Area E. Nada -- same for the bait guys. Threw metal, hoping for some stripers looking for sandeels. Did not happen. Fnished the evening at Pt. Monmouth. Some fishermen on the jetties and also on the beach. Threw a school-bus bomber; also nada. For me, the surf has been slow this entire late summer/fall season. A few small fish on lures, here and there. Also zero trips. Daytime, mostly PM.

id like to keep this post alive! a lot of the surf guys dont leave comments but just read on and not share whats going on out there. 90% of posts on this forum is about boat fishing... nothing against you guys but i dont have 50-150 bucks to dish out every time i fish.
im not asking to burn spots but just generalize your reports.
hit up sandy hook til 1 am, nothin but skates and dogfish, used 4 different bait, no stripers nor blues. many guys on the beach, majority were using lures, all walking empty handed (no keepers).... till then...
FISH ON!

I caught 50 fish in 4 trips to the Manasquan Inlet north jetty last week in the evening including 3 doubles with metals and teasers. I'll try to post a pic of my multi species double. http://s865.photobucket.com/user/NJ219bands/media/Image11012013182032_zpse26d7f27.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 On my last 2 trips to Island Beach State Park I caught 13 fish on AVAs and a teaser. Biggest was a 26" striper.

Been fishing a lot from Monmouth Beach to Bradley Beach throwing everything, bombers, diamond jigs and anythng that mimics a sandeel, Very little activity for a lot of hours, just a short here or a short there as of late.
Also, fish a small boat out front when conditions allow and mark tons of sandeels just off the beach with fish suspeneded above them still nada.

Same here man. Last two weeks I fished Long Branch beach from 4am-9am and not so much as a bite. Threw everything I had in the bag and nada.

Fished an ocean county beach Friday night into Saturday AM, had bait in the water for 12 hours, many poles, and personally threw everything in my bag, 1 doggie. Tide was ripping pretty good (8oz to hold) but it looked to be perfect bass water by sun up...nada, zilch, zippo. And the same story goes on for now

Area B, Sandy Hook (S. end of SH). 2:10PM to 5:20PM. One 24" bass at dusk on metal. Threw metal, or a Tsunami eel, but mostly metal into the E wind. A few other fishermen around, but I did not see anyone else get anything other than a plastic bag. Only bird activity was one Comorant briefly in close.
