Plugged Bay Head for a few hours with fellow NJF'er JCheng. I stuck with the Large Yo-Zuri Crystal Minnow and JC threw an SP Minnow. Nice night on the beach, but found no love. Thank god no hurricanes this year, 2 years ago was pretty good on the beach. My best water temp for plugging seems to be 48 to 52*, I think the water is still around 60* It's just the start of what I hope to be a great fall on the beach, good nights I have snow flurries in my headlamp :D

Good night to get my waders wet for the first time I think. Also needed to practice casting.
I am still amazed how plugs move and look like real fish!

I fished SRI area and bradleybeach from before sunrise to 8am on saturday. Lots of tiny bait in the wash but no love from anything, didnt see anyone hook up either, lots of guys around. The fleet was out 2+ miles and a little north like up by deal. good to get the surft rods wet after almost 2 years lol

Not to much action for me even hit the ocean in my uncles boat launched in Sayreville and boy that was a long ride! Still a lil sore this morning. Cleared the hook turned south to birds picking on bait everywhere nothing jiging turned to trolling one runoff grabbed thr rod fish gone put it back down and slam goes off again missed the hooks again i guess trolled for a while found more birds with great marks amd nothing decided to call it amd go get my but pounded through the bay again stopped off the hilands bridge landed 6weakies amd beat it all the way home. West winds really do suck in the bay:rolleyes: tomorrow im guna eels the back of theback to see what's going on on the home front

I caught, tagged and released 13 fish at IBSP Thursday and Monday nights on an AVA A17. Biggest was a 26" striped bass.
