Hit the beach south of Sandy Hook, (which is CLOSED) and encountered a huge school of Albies. Was able to land one about 8 lbs and more blues than I could count during the rest of the day 'till the wind shifted and shut them down. Will be out again on Tuesday and Thursday. As you can see, I am really enjoying my retirement! See 'ya all later, Robbie

Way to go Rammy!! Must have been a blast reeling in that speedster from the surf. What did he hit??

I was out fishing south of there tight into the Sea Bright beach a few days ago and saw some unfamilar splashes and sprays. Did not look like a bluefish freenzy or a Striper spray, but now that I read your report I'm thinking it just might have been Albies. Probably worth making a specific trip for them. Great fun on light tackle zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!! Fish on !!!

Figures. PB's finally going out to the reefs the last couple of weeks and they're not there anymore. Tough albie year. Maybe when the stripres take hold we will get a window to nail a blue/striper/albie hat trick.

Very cool......may need to get out one morning soon. Normally a night shift guy. Was it a morning or afternoon bite?

Can you park around Sea Bright and walk up the beach toward the hook? While it's close I mean....?
