10-2-13 Wow,,summer is back!!It was a pleasure to be out today...unfortunately the fishing was slow for us...Very dull in the morning,,not much life any spot we went to ...Made lots of moves and picked some fish here and there..Some nice ones in the mix but something was just off today...Few spots had ok life and the some parts of the boat would get a shot of fish but it was a tough day..High hooks only had 7-8 keeper bass,,,Actually high hook had 10..most numbers were lowere than that or none...The key today which showed me they were acting funny was the guys jigging including myself had no problem getting good bites...A simple a-27 with no tail worked...I went down and took two casts and nailed two nice fish..When they hit the jigs better than the bait something is up or we had shot of cool water on the bottom..Either way tomorrow is another day,,looks real nice again and we are heading right back out!!See ya for coffee..pics.

I was out yesterday too Bobby.... Although we had great anchoring conditions it was really S L O W....
Had few fish on the first drop and decided to go looking for something better.
BIG MISTAKE
Rule number one - Never leave fish to find fish
I should have known better.

Was out yesterday and I could say sand eels definitely were around based on some bird play that was very indicative of sand eels as well as some swirls and splashes. didnt bring "every trick in the bag" for a change and wish I had. My ONLY keeper came on a small white spro tipped with a spearing. Also my dad was out last week and they had a couple sea bass spit up sand eels.
hopefully a sign of a good fall jigging season to come.
