Did anyone hear how the Big Jamaica did out at the canyons? I think they came in around 3PM yesterday. Also, any word on any other party boat reports out there? I know they can be caught on the troll now, but chunking from what I can tell is practically non existent with a shot of a few fish here and there on the chunk.

Howard cancelled Tuesday's trip and they left this morning an will return Friday afternoon. I know he is going out Friday to Sat and Sat to Sunday and as of right now he only has about 18 on the trip. I got a call from a buddy who was out in the Hudson and it seems like the tuna are on the chunk and they were getting as many long fins as thy wanted on the jig. That's the best I can report right now, when I hear from the Big Jamaica, I will let you know.

Same thing every year. They all sit around and wait for the killer report and by the time they get out there, well, you know the rest. Book your trip now, you want to be there when it happens, not reading about it.

Well- just liking for a consistent chunk bite. Still not there yet. The Big J came in with less than 1 tuna per guy. :( hope it picks up before its over

Got back from Fri-Sat overnighter aboard Voyager.
Seemed like YFT bite is not too hot yet.
Was hopeful since Thurs-Friday trip produced 8-9 YFT, but unfortunately there was absolutely no action throughout the night, and only shot was in 5:30AM, when 3 hooked up at the same time and 2 were landed. So, the boat total was 2. One of the fish was definitely one of the bigger YFT's I've seen in Jersey, as it was estimated to be around 90lbs.
All three bites were on live squids at around 100-120ft deep, and they didn't touch sardines and butterfish.
Going back out next Friday and hope things improve by then. :(

It sounded like nobody did anything last night, probably has something to do with the moon.

I always had consistent chunking bites in October. The season isn't over till late November so i don't know what anyone is saying go now. It sucks now. I have been out 8 times in the past 3 weeks and it has been lackluster to say the least.

You want Long fin go now you want yellowfin bite on the chunk and jig you go in October. Good Luck! :)

The only problem with November is the weather. Hate running offshore in November when the stripahs are stacked up like cord wood on the beach.
