One of our members who was going to be on the NJfishing.com Gambler Tuna trip on 10/2 and 3 can not make the trip and has decided to donate his spot on the trip to an active duty Armed Forces person.

If anyone knows someone in our Armed Forces who is interested and can make this trip, please have them send an email to me njfishing@aol.com (njfishing@aol.com) and I will coordinate with them.

Call the MWR (Morale Welfare Recreation) office at Earle, Lakehurst or McGuire AFB.

This spot is filled but an interesting back story......

When we did not get any takers on this and not know to me at the time, Mary Anne and Bob Bogan had issued a full refund to our member who was going to donate his fare for the trip.

In the meantime Jon from the NJ Chapter of Heroes on the Water had identified a vet who was interested in the spot.

Mary Anne and Bob said they were going to cover the cost of the trip.

Amazing the generosity of people on this site.

Our member got his money back and is going to donate it to another Armed Forces charity and a vet is going fishing Tuna fishing on the Gambler.

Thanks to Jon, Mary Anne and Bob Bogan and our site member for their caring and generosity.

This trip is going to be blessed based on all the goodness of these people.

Captain Bob does a lot to give back to our vets. He's a pretty selfless guy!

That's just the way Bob, Mike and their family has done things for a long time. Great gesture and it's great to see 2 of our Hero's going now.

I have sailed on the Gambler on a couple of deep water cod/ling trips, and an overnight for seabass on the NJfishing "Big Guy" trip a couple years ago. Can honestly say probably the most fun I have ever had on a party boat. First rate the whole way.
