Have a marine radio....100% disabled Vietnam Vet and retired....bored too! Live in Highlands....overlook Sandy Hook/Seabright....rivers and ocean. What channel(s) should I try? Thanks! :confused:

Most times I will scan thru the full list of channels. When communicating with friends I use 65 or 66.

First and foremost, thank you for your service.
I am a volunteer with Heroes on the Water. We take vets out kayak fishing. In fact, we'll be at the Coast Guard Station on Sandy Hook tomorrow. You might want to check us out. Perhaps you'd like to kayak fish with us sometime?

Most boat Captains monitor channels 13 and 16 then go to other channels to converse.
