Golden Eagle - Wednesday Monster Blues

It was a decent day of Bluefishing. We with amount of MONSTER Blues that we saw on top and the fish readings under the boat it should have been a lot better but the fish didn't want to bite like we saw them.

With that said we were able to pick at the MONSTER Blues in the 12 to 18lb range on jigs & bait with shots of 5 to 6 fish on at a time. We also added some 3 to 5lb Blues to the mix.

Looked like it was going to be a tough grind for a few fish but Cap't Rich put in the OT and hit the jackpot by finding acres of the monsters cruising very near the surface at the end of the day. Awesome sight! Seemed like the whole boat hooked up. They were so thick I foul hooked one. Talk about a struggle, man, an 18lber hooked in the back will give you all you want and more. Better get out soon and grab some of this action, these huge fish do NOT come around very often.
