Yesterday 28 AUG around 11 A.M. at the tip of Sandy Hook a boat with 2 guys on board flying the flag of Greece (boat also named for a character in Greek mythology) roared through a small school of snapper blues. It ruined the fishing for us and about 15 guys onshore. We also shipped a small amount of water.
Was it really worth it for snapper blues? You could have gone around us to the East thereby not putting the school down. Please be careful and thoughtful.
Thanks

Sorry to hear that, but that type of thing happens way too often. If people just took their time and showed a little courtesy, everyone could work the school. Several years ago a guy did the same thing, but I was with three other boats jigging 20-25 lb. stripers. If we had a bazooka............

I was hoping he might "man up" and show a little contrition.

You need to cast a 2oz sinkers at his azz, after about 5 feet goes out close the bail and wrap your finger around the line and set the so called hook. The line will snap and It'll send that sucker flying a few hundred yards. When it hits their hull they'll get the drift. All this is hypothetical of course because you could take an eye out.

That is so lame. This year I had a charter boat come within 30 yards while snag n drop bunker. Boat tosses a throw net then starts doing tight circles around net at a hi rev on his motors. Busted up the pod real good then pulled the net full of bait up and left. I get that it can get tight on a pod with active fish. I just couldnt get that a guy who does this for a living would not know better. Scratch that. He knew better. Just thought he was intitled. This is same type of guy who complains when some boats get around him on the bite. Happen out of shark river. Thank god 99.9 percent of captains aren't like this clown.
