Yes the season is going to be open in November,but in my previous experience the migration of jumbos doesn't start till later we will make couple research trips in December usually it's when it starts to get good if they show up early we will adjust our schedule and start earlier.

Your right, about the big boys start migrating in December, however, the season closes on December 31, 2013. You probably want to revise your post. You are stating your'e starting the season "January 1st". :D

Why would it be different? Because it is. If you click on the link I posted. It was posted back in May the regulations for the upcoming winter season.

That link that I posted was latest. It was posted by Angler Paul back in May. He is very informative and attends all the meetings. Maybe, it will be reconsidered at the end of the year, who knows. I could tell you, in Jan-Feb the Seabass fishing offshore was phenomenal. Nothing but big quality fish.

As of now according to nj DEP in 2014 january and February will be open with a bag limit of 15 fish like it was in 2013, the link above was regarding to the rest of 2013 because the vote was taking place so late
