Hit the shed last Sunday with decent results so headed back for round 2. On the water just before dawn under a full moon; the bald eagle made an appearance soon after and it was sure to be a good day. My brother and I managed 5 smallies, 1 nice pick, and my first walleye (all C&R) This guy was my PB. Looks like research and persistence is paying off.

Thanks everybody. I've been lurking around here for a while now and figured it was time to contribute. The walleye was small, prob 14", and got him on 3/16oz round tungsten:) jig-head, with a 4" grub in about 20' of water. I've never been a deep water fishermen but in these parts, at this time of year, I've learned it's a must.

Gonna take the wife out on Greenwood Lake on Sunday for a good time. Probably gonna jig the edges in the a.m. and then play it by ear...haven't really fished it much. Any tips?

Nice Fattie!!!! Big Smallies are great!!! Nice Job! IMO it's easy to pound the shoreline in spring and catch fish! To be a really good angler one needs to def be able to catch fish in deep water as well. Sometimes it's a good idea to pick one or two lakes and fish them consistently instead of running all over the place and learn those lakes well all seasons and depths. Some lakes are better at certain times of the year and for certain fish so deciding what type of fish you want to try and catch and picking a lake that's known for them will put the odds in your favor instead of just fishing whatever for whatever. Welcome to the site, just by being a member and reading the posts and talking with our PRO STAFF (LOL) you will become a better angler.
Meet and Greets are always a good time and gives you the op to meet other members and fish with them. There's a lot of members who really know their
stuff and will give you a lot of information and that's why this is the Best Site On The Net!!!!!!!
