Capt Jim had the Golden Eagle out today and he reported very good fishing for BIG BLUES in the 10 to 18lb range. He caught them early in the day, then had a few drifts of 4 to 5lb fish and then had the bigger fish again in the afternoon. There were several limit catches of these monster Blues. All the fish were caught on jigs.
Last night fishing was good, we spent some time fishing for the 10 to 18lb fish and caught some of them but it slowed down after a while so we finished the night catching the smaller fish. We had many limit catches. The big fish were caught on bait and the smaller ones on jigs.
It looks like a big body of the larger fish are moving into the area and I suspect the fishing for these monsters will continue to get better & better.
