Miss Belmar blues, fluke & bonito!

Friday and Saturday night it was tough fishing. The fish were moving around a lot and we picked at some, however, overall it was just really tough.

Sunday night, when we got to the fishing grounds we had a blast of fish as soon as we anchored up. We picked around the boat for the next 45 minutes until we built life and we were catching singles and doubles. Most everyone on-board had their limit, as well as releasing plenty of fish. It was a good night of fishing and a definite improvement over the past couple of nights.

Saturday and Sunday morning we picked away on both trips. Some drifts lasted longer and were better than others. We still read plenty of fish from mid water down to the bottom. Both teasers and 27’s worked the best.

Today was excellent fishing with quite a variety of fish caught. We continued to concentrate on the lumps and hills just East of shark river inlet. The blues are still stacked on the hills feeding on the sand eels that are there. Anglers had an excellent day pulling blues over the rail along with a good number of fluke. There were also handfuls of bonito with Emilio catching a doubleheader bonito and Isaia catching a blue runner. It was once again a super day of angling!
