45 mins to sail time I make the last minute trek to see if I can get on boat and just made it -good thing. light crowd(25 or so) - sailed. 65 degrees and overcast and nice NE wind made for perfect no-sweat temps and good drift conditions.
First 2 hours there was really good action all around the boat - 4-6 held for braid. Wind kicked up as the day went on and I had to move to 8 and let out a good bit of line. had 4 in the box and needed one more - in some sticky stuff I felt the big tug and brought in what ended up being the winner. :D nothing crazy - just a nice solid 6-7 pounder. Also put about 15 shorts in the mix.
Painful moment of the day when the poor guy next to me had throw back a beauty Sea Bass in the 6lb class....really sweet biscuit.
crowd, conditions, drift, action, temps - all worked for a great day on the water. tight lines!
