Headed out of the inlet around 6 and started fishing by 6:30. Had a few keepers on the first drift then it slowed up a little. The wind was ripping most of the day making conditions tough to fish. At one point I decided to go old school and bait fish (boring but did manage 2 keepers).
We finished the day with 19 keepers and Mark from Bayonne had his limit as a first time "bucktailer". Now he is hooked. JP & I tied with 4 keepers each and he decided to leave his BANANA home. Glow and Nuc Chicken seemed to produce the best for us yesterday.
Breakfast was great as usually and Captain John and Richie put us on fish even in those terrible conditions. Hope to get out once or twice more before going back to work.
As a bonus got to meet some of our customers that fished The Monger yesterday. Always nice putting names with faces.
