So im going to make the almost 2 hour trip up there Saturday to try and get into some pike and hopefully smallmouth too. I wondering if you guys can help. Last time I went up I launched at eagle rock ave. however I was stopped by a large tree in the water well before I even got to Bloomfield ave. I was trying to fish that stretch and then up into the meadows and 2bridges rd area. I'm hoping you guys can give me some other boat ramps or maybe just say screw it and fish farther downstream. Those meadows do look like they would hold some monster pike tho. Feel free to pm me if you don't want to plaster your info on the board. Thanks in advance.
Oh ps I have a 16' tracker.

Seriously, It's looking like a rainy few days ahead of us which will most likely turn the river into a Hershey Squirt. Hopefully one of us will be able to check it out Friday for an update.

Suchorsky Park in Little Falls has a ramp that you could launch at to bring you up to the Two Bridges area and the Great Piece Meadows area. Aqueduct Park in Lincoln Park is the same deal. You would have to navigate an 1/8th mile stretch of shallow, rocky, weedy river where the Passaic and Pompton meet to get into the GPM section of river. When I was in there last month, there was only one complete obstruction in the river that we were able to squeeze our 'yaks through. A boat would be no-go passed this point.

I can't seem to find either of those on google maps. What roads are they off of? Thanks.

I drive by the Horseneck Rd stretch, the Eagle Rock stretch, Passaic Rd area today. I was on my way home from work and that entire area is dark and pooped up. Can't see a 10 inch lure 10 inches down. I'd fish another body of water!!!
