Looking to buy a reanably priced speargun. nothing to fancy just want something affordable and in good shape

Not sure where you're located but if in the Belmar area. Go check out Prof Divers right across the bridge. They have all the popular lineup of guns and accessories. JBL and MAKO are the popular brands. If you're shooting close up, I'd look at getting a spear pole with a stabilizer tip for starters.

X2 on professional divers on 35 next to Kelly's bar, been goin there for 23 years now, great guys and service!! - get a wood gun, no metal, they are quiet the metal sends out a louder clang under water

Mako we'd site will set u all up!! Got all my stuff there very reasonable. There ninety gun is great for inshore jersey spearfishing and its like two hundred bucks with shaft

If getting a pneumatic gun, check the length and make sure you will be able to reload it underwater. A lot of guys look to trade down to the smaller sizes for that reason.

I have a scuba pro fiber spear gun twin power bands with shaft. Haven't used it in twenty years but last I looked it was in great shape. Let me know if you want pictures
