Last night, we took a short ride to the fishing grounds and read plenty of fish. Anchored up and we immediately started catching small blues all around the boat. It was fast fishing for about 40 minutes and then we continued to pick around the boat. Made a move, found some more fish but they were skittish and were moving around fast. Each time we stopped we picked at the blues and had several blasts throughout the night. There was plenty of action and everyone caught all they wanted.
This morning, we started off East of our inlet catching all the blues you wanted on the lumps and hills. There were plenty of readings mid water down to the bottom. There was a big spread of fish and plenty of sand eels around which is helping to hold the fish on the hills. Had a report of some big fish South of the Shrewsbury rocks so we took a ride up. We had a few big blues on and managed to only catch one. Then, the fish and life disappeared on top due to slack water. We ended up back on the hills where we started and it ended up being an excellent day of angling! Our pool winner Marcus Guerrero from Elizabeth, NJ with a 12 lb blue.
Due to the weather conditions, we will not be sailing tonight. We will resume our normal schedule tomorrow, Friday, August 2nd, at 7:30 a.m.
Sailing daily from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. & again from 7:30 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.
With Miss Belmar's 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it. No other boat comes close. Try us and you'll see why.
