As insane as it sounds, I'm thinking about a possible triple play weekend of fishing. If I do, it will be the first time ever and kinda excited about the possibility of pulling it off. I'm probably booked for Friday night and possibly either Saturday or Sunday (waiting on a phone call to determine which) I may have an opening on the other if anyone's interested in fishing with a cranky old bastard LMAO!!!!!!

Well it's starting to come together, so far looking like the Valley on Friday night and the Run on sunday Did some prep work on the boat tonight, adding to my nightlights, an additional 55 watt halogen now I have one the shining off each side of boat. We've noticed seems like 90% of the bites are from the side with the halogen shining on the surface and not the side with the submerged light so we'll see how that works out. I also installed a downrigger board as well to move them forward and more user friendly .
I have like a 9ft spread now between them so hopefully good things will come from that as well. Tomorrow night is looking like a tackle TLC night and then Friday night it begins!!!! The more I think about it the more AMPED i'm getting!!!! YEA BABY !!!! Going for 20+ hrs on the water this weekend!!!

Well first thing I can say is i'm still alive! I survived my three day marathon.
Starting out Friday night at the Valley in search of some rainbows with my daughter. Set up at 10:30pm and put in several hours but no pot of gold at the end of our rainbow tonight. Seemed like the only thing biting were the rock bass. So after our rock bass bonanza we packed it in about 2:00am. Dropped her off and swapped over some gear and was off to a local lake for some livebait for round two. I hit the ramp at the Run at 5:00am. As i'm driving up it's starting to drizzle, overcast and lots of deer activity and bait and fish busting! I'm thinking Gonna Slay Em' today!!! Well the drizzle turned into steady rain which continued for the better part of the day. Being one to never quit I managed to put together a catch of 1 hybrid, 1 smallie, and 1 channel cat. Then it stops the skies break and the wind starts cranking. Pulling out all the stops I trolled with downriggers, flatlined, drifted and anchored. So after exhausting all my options, soaking wet and sore from the beatin I took I called it a day. While on the way home I manage to get a flat to add to my misery. Limped it home down but not out yet! Got a few ZZZ's rested the body a bit and headed back to the Run for the last leg of the marathon sunday morning at 5:00am to meet up with Jeremy aka Jigman13 and Jeff aka Bicey in search of some hybrids. Being that my boat was down and with the time factor not able to repair it was nice to jump on Jeff's boat and hit it again. The bite was much better today with 6 fish on and landing 4 between us. One came unbuttoned at the boat and one tangled up in the DR line. First time out with Jeff and what a awesome guy! Good action and tons of laughs with him and Jeremy. Being that said I managed to salvage a tough weekend and made the best of it. It sure wasn't for lack of effort or time cause I fished 22+ hours on a few hours sleep and drove 230 miles back and forth from Friday to Sunday.

PS: Taking next weekend off !!!! Family weekend at the shore!!! (maybe I'll sneak a pole in the trunk?? NOT!!!)

good times buddy, just being out there is what counts, catching is just the icing on the cake. Falls coming in just a few weeks, there wont be any sleep when the big girls start fattening up when they feel the water temp drop!!!
