We didn't sail Wednesday -- but we got a couple half day family trips in (charters) fishing the river because the ocean was too sloppy to fish due to the hard NE wind and residual slop.
Today's 30-40 mile wreck trip was postponed (new date TBA) due to the nasty weather.
The river trips the last couple of days have been productive in terms of catching, but keeping has been another story. Loads of shorts, and I mean shorts (6-10" fluke) have dominated the catches with occasional 14-17" fish coming up. Both trips each yielded 2 keepers, and roughly 75 shorts fishing light tackle. Fun fishing, but it's not like fishing outside!
I'll be back at the helm Monday, Kenny is doing the Elks and Sunday's FTYP. Pics will be on the site by Sunday night!
