Headed out this morning with Ken, Bob, Tim, Neil, Bob and Jimmy. The guys toughed out the fast drift with the hard NE wind and went to work with the bucktails right away. By 1245 they managed to box a total of 26 keepers to 5.5 lbs along with a bunch of shorts before calling it an early day when the rain started.

It was another fun day of fishing with some nice sporty conditions. I was noticing the color difference in the fish as we were catching them and you can see the differences with them all on the deck in the pic. Since they change color to match the bottom I guess the darker ones must have been on mussels or something and the lighter spotted ones on sandy bottom. There was an interesting pattern to the drifts today- drop, drift up the hill and try not to snag cause it's rough bottom and maybe catch a fish on the rough stuff, then it smoothed out for a bit and I think right at that transition was where I caught most of my fish. Then it seemed to stay smooth with less and less fish and then repeat.

I have to admit that I was feeling a little green around 9:30-10:00 and had to force myself to eat something and watch the horizon with my head in the wind for a spell but when the rain started hitting me in the face it got me all right again !
