We started our nite fluke fishing for about 30 minutes and then the squalls came and drifting in the heavy wind and downpoars made us retreat to anchor fishing for the porgies and croakers. The porgies had their feedbags on and fishing was good until the current ran so hard you could not hold bottom with a big sinker. We got out of the current at the end of the nite and picked away at the porgies and croakers until quitting time. We will be fishing for fluke, porgies, and croakers until further notice and taking out the striped bass part of our trips. Years back we were able to bass fish all summer long and catch fish by worm fishing and jigging but times have changed, so must we. The bass boats out of sheepshead bay are catching none or next to nothing on most trips and I rather put some fish in the pails then ride around the ocean all nite long hoping to catch 1 or 2 bass. We will be sailing this afternoon at 3;30 and the weather looks great. For info 908-930 2335.
