Well for the past two weeks, I have done a little fishing everyday. I fished the Shark River Inlet, The Gambler, and the Jetties of Deal Surf and Seven President's Beach.
Everywhere I went, I did okay with some shorts and so far 3 keepers. I could have done better, but that can be elaborated about later. Anyway, the biggest one was a 20 incher I had on the tuesday of last week at Shark River off of First Avenue. It was nice to fish with the Gambler crew as well and I saw a lot of familiar faces.
Today, dad and I fished the Phillips Ave Jetty for a little while for some fishing on his B-day. Dad was able to catch a few shorts, and I did as well, one almost a keeper by a tiny margin. Dad also had fun reeling in some Sea Robins and Skates while recieving some comforting B-day calls and messages from some of his long-time friends.
Dad was the one to first introduce me to fishing and we have certainly had our share of trips together in my lifetime. For that, a son can only ever be more grateful!
Happy Forth of July!
