Its been a long week sitting at the dock the last trip we fished was last Wednesday. But the boys are out today. Hopefully we get a nice string of trips in a find the fish a little closer to home. I'll get a report up here in real time if the capture anything but they just started fishing. Dean said 50 miles off this morning was just a swell and no white caps. The 48 was chugging along at 25 knots so weather is nice thus far.
Folks we are now only have a couple days left for open boat trips on the 48 Viking until September and just 3 dates total on the 60 Ritchie until Labor Day. Please take a look and call me ASAP if interested 732-272-4445.
48 Viking July 9-10, 16-17, 22-23, 23-24, 28-29, 29-30 (Open Boat Spots Only)
60 Ritchie July 30-31, August 1-2, 12-13
Below is a recap of all the trips we did prior to the blow that we didnt post yet.
June 22-23 19 Yellowfin
Capt Mark Debaliso and Capt Deane Lambros with Mate Peter Kane in the cockpit were on their 3rd overnight in a row with the Joe Getz Charter. They went straight to Big-eye fishing but it was to no avail. They trolled till 1030pm and set up for sharking under slick calm conditions. There was no real drift due to lack of wind of current so spin around a lot making sharking difficult that night. As such they put it on the troll at 4am and trolled 16 yellow fins up to 45 pounds. Most of these fish were the small class of fish but they were able to pull a couple of nicer fish out of it. This trip was mostly a morning a bite which was pretty strong fishing up until 930am when the bite slowed up. They picked 3 more yellow fins before having to come home for a turn around. The guys trolled 4 braid maurders off the transom. They also caught on Canyon Runner Squid Bars and Tuna clones with rainbow and purple/black being the hot colors
June 23-24 12 Yellowfin
Capt Mark Debaliso, Capt Deane Lambros and Capt. Craig Angellini all jumped on our 60 foot Ritchie Howell there Mark and Deane's 4th overnighter in row with the Chris Ivarone charter. They went back down to the Wilmington area and set up for sharking this time trying a drift in 55 fathoms. Throughout the night the boys caught 3 blue sharks and 1 dusky shark. Getting up on the troll at 430 am. They worked the bank all morning putting 12 yellow fins in the boat. Once again these fish seemed to prefer Canyon runner Squid bars and Tuna clones. They could not get a bite on Braid Maurders so they took those out and put out more tuna clones. They charter had to be home by 4pm with a long ride home they pulled plug around 1130am. Capt Mark said that he felt confident that given some more time he could have caught more.
June 25-26 - 10 Bluefin, 2 Longfin
Capt Mark Debaliso and Capt. Craig Angellini with Mate Kevin Muller had the Chris Durnam Charter out Tuesday- Wednesday on the 60 Ritchie Howell. The boys had several smaller Bluefins right out the gate and end up nailing a nicer 100# bluefin around 1030. They worked out offshore to some nicer water offshore in 600 fathoms looking for a yellowfin but it was not to be. They worked back up towards where they caught their bluefins earlier in the day and caught went 2 for 3 on long fins. At night they fought a few blue sharks. They trolled around for a few hours in the morning. Marks charter had to be at the dock at 12pm so they wrapped it up at 9am.
June 25-26 - 2 Bluefin, 1 Longfin
Capt. Deane Lambros, Capt. Greg Ryback and Mate Peter Kane left for an overnighter at 4am Tuesday morning with an open boat trip. They had their first bite at 1025am catching our first Longfin of the 2013 Canyon Season. The had one shot of small bluefins around 30 pounds around 3pm.Trolling the rest of the afternoon they had a few other short bites and miss's which did not come tight. Around 10pm they set up for sharking and they caught 3 blue sharks and missed a few others. Getting up on the troll in the morning they trolled till 11am with nothing to show for it they pulled the plug and headed for the barn.
Finally please take a look at a couple nice fish caught by our customers using our new color squid and our Fishing Report Service our service already accounted for 10 big-eyes by members and a tournament win and its not even July 4. We have a ton of new tackle on the website now that we were keeping a secret for a couple years so if you haven't taken a look please do so today as we are almost sold out of many of the items.

"Adam,
Thanks for the coordinates that put us on the 72" Bigeye. The best advice I took away from your seminar is to avoid daytrips and weekends. We fished Thursday/Friday from 5pm until 9am and had 15 yft and the one big eye. Looking forward to our next overnighter.
