I graduated junior high school last week and my dad refused to tell me what he got me for my graduation gift until after the graduation ceremony. To my surprise he took me on a Massachusetts Nantucket fluke trip. We got onto the boat and it was a two hour drive to the ground and was that long drive worth it. We had action all day and 95% of them were keepers. Between my dad, my grandpa, and myself we had over 30 keepers but only keeping our limit off course. Between all 3 of us I had the high hook on the boat and I got 2 double headers only getting 3 out of the 4 fish to the boat but all four of them would have been keepers. My grandpa got the pool fish with a 6lb fluke and my dad got the second biggest fish on the boat with a 4.5lb fluke. It was a great day on the water and thank you dad (scuba nut) for taking me on this amazing trip

Congrats on the graduation and best of all...fishing with your pops!
Nick
Spending the day fishing with your dad and grandpa is priceless.
Most kids do not appreciate days like this until later in life. Sounds like your dad and Grandpa have taught you well. The biggest catch on a day like this is the time you were able to spend together. Knowing your dad I am sure you guys were laughing and having a great time the whole time. The great fluke fishing you had was just the icing on the cake.

Great story & pics.
I am glad to see that some parents still are treating their kids to outdoor experiences like this one as they will definitely be the kinds of memories that will stay with you forever.
Too many kids will never get the chance to have an experience like this fishing trip with their father; ... and, to me, that is just sad! :(
Good luck in your post-graduate career. I am sure this fishing trip will be one you will remember for the rest of your life.
Thanks for sharing & "NICE WORK" to your old man.
