Air Temp: HOT
Water Temp: 68
Beer: Miller Lite
TIde: Outgoing -(Friday & Sunday)
Bait: Spearing/Squid combos + killies

Friday: Headed out to back of Raritan Bay and fished between the 1 and 3 buoy and along the main channel between 49-53
Most fish were in 20-23 ft of water. SLow pick with the south wind and a strong tide. Managed 4 keepers to 20 inches.

Sunday - Flat Calm day - had my boy out with me (he's only 4)
Lasted 2 hours before he got bored of playing with dead spearing LOL
Caught 10 shorts and didn't move around too much because I was too busy making sure he had candy and a drink.
Small steps with the little guy...he liked seeing them do "belly flops" back into the water.

One note. - Dragging bait rather than bouncing it was working better.

I have been using a wonder rig on one rod - 4 ounce spro with a 2 ft leader above it and a spearing on it. smacking the spearing , only 1 caught on Spro.

My other rod which i was just dead sticking caught most of my fish.
I tried killies for a while - but spearing seemed to be the flavor this weekend.

Was out Sunday (see Grateful Dad's report). All our fluke came on a bucktail/teaser rig. Early in the day we found a nice pocket of fish in 15-25' of water between the #50-48 and later in the day in 15-17' of water by the #47. We ended up with 7 keepers (6 over 19"s) and 2Xs the amount of shorts.

As far as I know, there is no name on the side of Jeff's boat.
