Fishing Flatcreek style 6/22

After inviting myself:o to go fishing with Flatcreek we met up around 5 PM at SRR for a little Herring drift fishing.
Loaded the boat with my crap and away we went.
He decided to sniff around a while looking at the water depth and bottom structure before making the call to hit the same area he has been having some moderate success at recently.
We ain’t there 10 minutes and his rod goes off, and a decent Hybrid in the boat.

Not long after that one he gets another larger keeper. Then it was my turn and I too landed a keeper. Boy those fish fight pretty hard especially on my Trout rod and 4 lb. test.

We had quite a few run offs and picked one more keeper before calling it quits about 10 PM.

All fish where caught before sundown, not the usual time of at or just after sundown.
Beautiful night for fishing with a slight breeze, cool and comfortable. Single Malt and water helped too;)
Big old Moon was showing and I think that put the kibosh on the catching, but who really knows?

Nice fish guys! I think the nite bite switched over to early am and day time now that the herring spawn is done. Not looking forward to the a**crack of dawn trips lol. Twilight trips so much more fun!

Hey George, your very welcome and great company to go fishing with. You must be a good luck charm, because that has been my best evening yet. That brings up a question, is it about the fishing or the catching? I enjoy both and we were lucky to have had a little of both, which makes for a great evening. Picture 5 is my favorite so I guess I enjoy the fishing more.
